HARRY STUART - MASTER PUPPETEER

HARRY STUART was born in Blackburn Lancashire and trained as a commercial artist. Following his training he taught commercial art at several colleges in Lancashire before joining the Roger Stevenson Company in September of 1975.

The first characters he would design and make would be 'The Kwackerjacks' - a group of guitar playing 'Pop Group' Ducks. 'Pepe', the little boy puppet, who would eventually headline the main stage act, followed these.

Harry was skilled in many art forms and was equally at home wood carving, sculpting in clay or using watercolours for his paintings. He had a great sense of humour and this is shown in his many drawings and characters.

There are examples of his skills in the many images on the web site.
